NITI for Chrome

Privacy Policy

How NITI handles your information.

Last updated: October 30, 2026

Overview

NITI is a personal task planner for Chrome, Chromium-based Edge and the web/PWA. Local planning works without an account. This policy covers the extension, website, account service and MCP. Online features require the public NITI service to be available.

Information stored in your browser

Tasks, projects, strategies, reminders and daily focus are stored in IndexedDB. Without an account they stay local. Signing in automatically uploads missing local objects and synchronizes account data, dashboard layout and user preferences. The guest database stays separate; matching account records and deletions are preserved.

Browser permissions

Alarms schedule checks; notifications show reminders; storage saves settings; tabs and sidePanel open the dashboard. Identity supports Google sign-in. Access to the NITI server is requested when connecting an account, and Zenkit access when importing. NITI does not read other tabs or collect browsing history.

Optional Zenkit import

If you start a Zenkit import, NITI asks for access to base.zenkit.com and sends your pasted API key to Zenkit over HTTPS to read the lists you select. The key remains in the import dialog and is not saved. Imported content is copied to your local NITI workspace; there is no ongoing synchronization.

Feedback and uninstall forms

If you choose to submit feedback or answer the uninstall survey, Google Forms processes the information you enter and we receive your response. Google may also process technical or account information under its own privacy policy. NITI does not attach your tasks, projects, or extension settings to these forms.

Service pages and analytics

The website and web account use Yandex Metrika counter 113932381 for page views, clicks and session analysis, including Webvisor and its cookies. Account content and input fields are masked, links use only section names, and authentication routes are excluded. The extension does not load Metrika. Language and theme are stored locally; the PWA caches its shell without authentication responses.

Use and sharing

Google supplies a stable identifier, name and email; access to mail and files is not requested. NITI stores profile, devices, sessions and MCP permissions. Signing in sends workspace data and preferences to NITI. Authorized MCP clients receive data within granted permissions. Workspace data is not sold or used for advertising.

Your choices and retention

You can export data, revoke devices and MCP connections, or delete your account in Account. Server change history is retained for 90 days; deletion markers remain until account deletion. Automatic backups on the server are retained for 30 days. Restricted operator recovery copies are retained until manually removed. Account deletion removes active server data and access; older backup copies expire with retention. Clearing browser data removes local workspaces, but exported files remain where you saved them.

Security and changes

Optional connections use HTTPS. Protect your browser profile and exported backups. Local account data may remain on a signed-out device for offline changes and can be removed by clearing its site data. Policy changes are posted here with a new date.

Chrome Web Store Limited Use

NITI's use of information received from Chrome APIs adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. We use that information only to provide the features described here and do not transfer it for advertising or unrelated purposes.
